What began in 2005 with a simple idea has developed into a real success story over the years. More and more teams and sponsors joined every year. The organisation team has become more experienced. Suddenly there was a kitchen team, masseurs, music and many volunteers. And always with them: the fun of exercise and the good cause in mind!
DEAR RUNNING FRIENDS,
Yes, the 12-hour run will take place this year. Despite Corona. Or - not despite of it. But now more than ever. However, it will be different. We need to take care of your health and that is why we had to come up with something else. The usual run in Amtzell - which includes a camp for runners, family and friends - unfortunately we won't be able do that in those times.
But what we also cannot do is: to give up. Because this pandemic has not only changed the lives of many of us - it has also drastically intensified the work of Médecins sans Frontières (MSF). With closed borders, humanistic aid and access to medicines is extremely difficult. Moreover, the corona virus poses an even greater threat for hospitals and camps in crisis regions.
This is why we need your help.
We know: exercise in the open air is also good for our health. That is why we came up with a very unique form of the 12-hour run this year.
We would like to bring the 12-hour run from the small village in southern Germany into the world. Because this year we will forget about borders.
